Reaching the children for more than 20 years, The Killbuck Savings Bank has sponsored the "How to do your banking" program created by the Cemark Company. We offer this program to all 5 school districts in our lending area, as well as the many parochial schools within the Amish community.
Budgeting, balancing a checkbook, understanding what good credit means for the future, and how to apply for a loan are just a few of the topics that are covered. The program does an exceptional job of providing basic financial skills training to the students as well as providing the instructors quality supporting materials. Using a "real world" approach to this program Mr. Kurt Stutzman, VP/Loan Officer, visits the classes to discuss establishing good credit and the loan application process.
